Wah Wah Wah is a solo show that follows a young queer person's muddled account of a very specific, yet familiar story of (maybe?) being violated. A gaze held too long, being followed down the street, a stranger’s hand on your bare thigh -- the layers are peeled back, revealing a tangled inner dialogue surrounding instances of violation. What happens if I love it and hate it at the same time? Did anything even happen? Is anything ever gonna change?

Wah Wah Wah dissects micro-moments of sexual harassment from a queer perspective using storytelling, tantrums, and visceral movement when words arent enough. The piece is a new and explosive performance work, and we’re so excited to be helping the team tour to Germany this summer as part of English Theatre Berlin’s Focus Canada Series!

“Solo performer Celia Green has forged a fresh, inventive take on questions around harassment in the post #MeToo era
- NOW Magazine

"Green’s sharp physical work is among the most striking aspects of the piece, fully controlled at times and wildly visceral at others. […] There is an understated quality – a pull as opposed to a push force – to Wah Wah Wah that elicits an undivided listen.”
- Montreal Theatre Hub

“Celia Green clearly has the critical analysis and the performative talent to engage and inspire audiences.”
